Karen graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas with an Associate Degree in Theology. She has over two years of training in practical ministry from Grace Training Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She also attended Palm Beach State College where she took all the required courses to become a Certified Associate Addiction Professional. She did her direct service hours as well as supervised hours at the Palm Beach Institute, an exclusive rehab facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. She later upgraded her credentials to become a Certified Addiction Counselor in the State of Florida.

Karen has additional training in the areas of inner healing and prayer therapy. She has taken courses through Christian Healing Ministries, Elijah House, Restoring the Foundations, and Theophostic Prayer Ministry.

Karen got her first certification in Addictions counseling in 1996. She has been an Ordained Minister for over 25 years with experience on staff for various social service agencies, churches, ministries, secular and faith-based rehabs.

Women’s Pastor and Certified Addictions Counselor for Christ Central Church in Titusville, Florida where she coordinated the opening of the Counseling Center and provided counseling for substance abuse, relationship issues, and family counseling. She also facilitated weekly recovery groups and taught on various recovery topics.

Leadership Training Director for the South Georgia House of Hope in Lake Park, Georgia, a faith based rehabilitation program for women recovering from substance abuse.

Female Counselor for the Covenant Counseling Center, a ministry of Covenant Center International in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida where she provided counseling for addictions, emotional and physical abuse, and marriage and family issues. She was the Singles Group Leader that provided teaching on topics pertaining to spiritual and emotional health. She also worked with the Palm Beach Atlantic Student Accountability office providing substance abuse counseling for students.

SAAP Intervention Counselor for the Drug Abuse Treatment Association in West Palm Beach, Florida providing education in substance abuse and groups for inmates in the Palm Beach County Jail.

Life Coach, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida that did public speaking and assisted local non-profit agencies in South Florida.
